Day 5 re-cap:

With another fairly windy day Tony Pirri decided to make one brave flight from Pirin Mountain to claim the first place of the competition.
Second in overall is Fabio Anzoveno. Unfortunately we don't have anyone in third place as all the other competitors were slowly but breavely dropping off along the route.
Congratulations to the winners!

Day 4 re-cap:

A day with a lot of walking and not much flying due to the strong N winds again.
Tomorrow the Swiss - Italian crew of Toni and Fabio are going to attack the peaks of Pirin and hopefully this time the N winds will be in their favor taking them to the final points.
Nikolay Yotov decided to skip the peaks and will take a passenger from the support team on a tandem flight towards lat turn point.
Let's see if any will have luck flying tomorrow with the forecast of N wind
Teodora and Boryana decided to drop from the race due to the bad forecast.
Unfortunately Boyan also drops out of the race because of damaged ear after yesterdays reserve deployment. Boyan got distracted while taking pictures after launching from Musalla peak. He got blown behind the ridge by he strong winds and unfortunately suffered the full power of the rotor before dployng the reserve successfully.
Niki and Orlind decided to take a break in the windy day.
This leaves only Tony and Fabio pusshing towards the point in a combined effort! Looks like we might have 2 people in first place :)

Day 3 re-cap:

Strong winds gorunded the competitors again today.
Teodora and Boryana decided to drop from the race due to the bad forecast.

Day 2 re-cap:

Due to high altitude sickness of our youngest competitor Orlin Yotov (12 years old) - the duo - Orlin and Nikolay Yotovi - passes into tourist mode.
Our Italian friends Tony and Fabio have made it to TP1 after an intersting 1-st flyable day.
Boyan also had an interesting day deployng his reserve in some rough air behind Mussala Peak - luckily managed to get out of it unscratched and keeps pushing on towards TP1.
The girls are not that far back. Boryana and Teodora had a short flight but are still pushing towards the point - who knows delaying the peak jump might be a good tactic.
Let's see what tommorrow holds.

The task is set across the Rila-Pirin Mountains- 136 km - from Borvets Ski resort- Belmeken dam - Radomir Peak on the Belasitsa mountain - Petrich.
The competitors are on their way - task is set to start at 14:15. Good luck to all.
